Getting an account
Ippo is invite-only for now. To ask for an invite, request an invite with the form above: give the address you’d like to sign in with, and tell us the language you want to study (Japanese, Chinese, German or French, or English or French if your first language is Japanese).
Forgot your password
Use the form with the address on your account and we will help you get back in.
A sentence looks wrong
Many example sentences are written by AI. If one is unnatural, wrong or inappropriate, report it from the card during a review. Reports go straight to us.
Deleting your account
In the Ippo app on iPhone, Android or the web, open Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your account and all of its study data, settings and reports from our server. If you can’t sign in, use the form with the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Example sentences generated while you studied stay as shared content, and records of sentence-generation runs and their cost stay for our accounting, both with no link to you. If you joined with an invite, we keep a record that it was used, without your email address, along with our own note on it, if any. Backups still hold your data until newer backups replace them: nightly backups and our hosting provider's daily server snapshots roll over within about seven days, and we keep the last ten backups made when we update the service. Error reports and session records stay in Sentry until their retention period ends. Contact form messages and feedback we received by email stay in our email inbox, and our email provider keeps its copy of them and of the account emails we sent you (invite, sign-in and reset codes). See the Privacy Policy for details.
Reporting a bug
In the app, open Settings → Send feedback, or use the form. Tell us what you did, what you expected and what happened, and whether you were on iPhone, Android or the web.
